Jam City Studios was established in 2013 as a place for local musicians to collaborate on their projects. Over time, it has become a recording and networking hub. Jam City Engineers record 100’s of artists and projects each year. Many of those artists go on to experience an awesome musical journey. On the opposite side of the spectrum, we have seen and recorded some of the most extraordinary artists, only for them to release that evening on Soundcloud to their friends and families or, they never truly reach the full potential of their success.
What is Project Management?
For the longest time, we’ve been unsure how to offer this service. It’s not Artist Management; we’re not a booking agency, or a licensing firm; we’re not exactly a label. What we are is a crew who are experienced in planning, executing, and meeting the goals of a team. This is Project Management.
It’s important for you to understand Project Management. We charge a flat rate hourly fee. Unless you are looking for long-time management, there aren’t any contracts involving our Project Management services. Project Management can refer to any type of project; an album, a business idea, a website, a hobby even–anything you can dream up begins with Project Management.
Why you need it.
There are a lot of business savvy Artists, Engineers, and Producers out there. Most musicians know how the distributor works. (Read my article on The Distributor) Yet, there are still some necessary services, tricks of the trade, all of which can cloud the musicians mind and hinder creativity. A simple consultation with us to talk about your release is perhaps one of the best ways to start. Through this service, we are not here to get rich, we are here in hopes to either take the stress of the biz from you, or give you the knowledge of what services are available to you, and the skills to use them to your advantage.
